"Serial no. SKS30446 (importer-applied). Manufactured circa 1967–1968 at Chinese State Arsenal Factory 26, chambered in 7.62x39mm, 20.5"" round barrel. Bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted. Serial numbers are matching except for the bolt. Of particular interest is the unique period-style “trench art" carved into the stock, consisting of two names and a symbol on the buttstock, giving this rifle a distinctive individual character and possible service history. The stock otherwise shows expected handling and usage impressions consistent with military use. Factory 26 Type 56 rifles are among the most recognizable Chinese SKS variants, and the personalized stock carvings make this example especially interesting as a collectible military arm. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
