"Serial no. 3712957. Manufactured in 1943 by Smith-Corona, chambered in .30-06 Springfield, 24"" round barrel marked “SC/Flaming Bomb/6-43." Bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted. The rifle remains in overall very good condition, showing light handling and usage wear consistent with its age. A Lyman receiver-mounted peep sight has been added. Smith-Corona was one of only two manufacturers to produce the Model 03-A3 during WWII, making these rifles a desirable variation for U.S. military arms collectors. Action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
