Offered is a stunning, custom-built Winchester Model 70 chambered in the classic .375 Holland & Holland Magnum. Built in on a highly coveted 1956 pre-’64 controlled-feed action (Serial #383186), this rifle represents the pinnacle of dangerous game reliability. The bespoke custom build was executed by Conco Arms, a small, highly regarded boutique maker during the 1980s that was celebrated for producing some of the highest levels of firearms workmanship in the industry. The 24-inch barrel is fitted with a banded front sight with hooded ramp and a traditional three-leaf express rear sight, perfectly evoking classic safari styling.The rifle is stocked in a beautiful, one-piece checkered walnut stock showcasing an ebony forend tip, capped pistol grip, straight comb with a shadowline cheekpiece, and a Decelerator buttpad offering a 13 7/8-inch length of pull. Condition is exceptional, with the rifle retaining 99% of its deep blue finish alongside sharp screw heads and crisp markings. The bright bore rates a 10 out of 10 with sharp perfect rifling, and the iconic three-position safety action functions flawlessly. Completing this premium dangerous game package is a set of original, vintage Warne-style quick-detachable rings (similar in design to Talley 11mm QD rings) holding a rare Leupold 1.75-6x32mm Vari-X III rifle scope. Known for its exceptional field of view and compact profile, this specific variable magnification optic is highly limited and exceedingly difficult to find on the secondary market.
