Description:

Very scarce Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Jubilee Commemorative, caliber 7.5x55, one of just 500 rifles produced circa 1987 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Swiss Arms Makers Association, founded in 1912. Commercially numbered with the “P” serial prefix, this example SN: P235548 is commemorative #352. Swiss straight-pull configuration with blade front sight guarded by protective ears, tangent rear sight graduated 1-15, detachable magazine and matching numbered receiver, bolt, barrel and magazine. The receiver ring is attractively embellished in gold with the Swiss Cross-in-Shield, commemorative number “352” and “Jubiläum/SBV ASA/75 Jahre.” Smooth walnut stock and handguard, the right side of the butt inset with an oval plaque marked “Schweiz. Büchsenmacherverband 1912–1987 / Association suisse des armuriers.” Complete with braided leather sling and brass muzzle cap with Swiss cross.

Condition:

Excellent to near new, retaining approximately 99% original blue with only a few scattered handling marks and minor edge wear. Gold embellishment remains sharp and complete. Excellent walnut stock with attractive grain, a few light scratches and handling marks, and a very small chip near the toe adjacent to the buttplate. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A very scarce limited-production and all-matching K31 commemorative in exemplary condition.
