Offered for sale is a beautiful Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece chambered in .22 Long Rifle and manufactured in 1953. Built prior to the adoption of model numbers, this revolver is part of the highly desirable Pre-Model 17 series and represents one of the finest rimfire target revolvers ever produced by Smith & Wesson.
Built on Smith & Wesson's legendary K-frame, the K-22 Masterpiece earned its reputation through exceptional accuracy, superb balance, and the hand-fitted craftsmanship that defined the company's post-war revolvers. Whether used for target competition, small game hunting, or recreational shooting, the K-22 remains one of the most respected .22 revolvers ever made.
This example features a 6-inch pinned barrel, six-shot cylinder, beautiful original blued finish, checkered walnut Magna grips with silver Smith & Wesson medallions, a Patridge front target sight, and a fully adjustable micrometer rear target sight.
The revolver remains in excellent overall condition, retaining an attractive original finish with only light signs of careful handling. The markings remain sharp, the grips are excellent, and the revolver displays the outstanding fit and finish collectors expect from Smith & Wesson's classic pre-model number era.
