Description:
A rare one today is a High Standard Sentinel MK III revolver in .357 Mag made by Dan Wesson for High Standard. If my research is correct, the revolver was mfg around 1974/75 and is the Dan Wesson Model 15. This is a top quality handgun that is finished what the factory called Trophy blue.
The metal finish is very well kept with no rust or corrosion - a few light scratches and bumps (nothing glaring) most notable is a small scratch on left side under the hammer. The bore is bright with strong rifling, the chambers are recessed and the bbl is 4". The front ramp sight is fixed and the rear is adjustable. The bbl has the locking nut that will allow the bbl to be removed and interchanged with another Model 15 bbl although I do not have the tool kit.
The wood grip is in good condidtion with no splits or cracks but does have a couple of very small chips at the bottom inside. All in all a very nice and rare piece and a good value for a quality handgun. I am in no means an expert on these revolvers so if someone catches an error in the description, I'd be most grateful if it was brought to my attention. There is no box and the sale is for the revolver only. Please email with questions and I'll do my best to find answers for you.
