Listed for sale here is a PRISTINE 6" Colt Python .357 Magnum Revolver in Colt Royal Blue finish. I purchased this firearm LNIB (Like New In The Box) from a good friend who was the original owner. He shot the gun once to test it and then put it in his gun safe. He told me “it was too pretty to shoot" and after seeing the gun, I had to agree! The gun was manufactured by Colt in 1979. It comes with a 6” barrel, 6 round capacity, adjustable rear sight, ventilated rib, weighted barrel, and original walnut checkered grips with gold Colt medallions. The Royal Blue finish is the finest bluing that Colt ever applied to a production firearm. This gun has no turn line cutting through the cylinder bluing and is essentially a new gun.
This gun has been meticulously maintained through the years including regular inspections and periodic cleaning and oiling. This gun is 100% mechanically perfect and I would rate its finish at 99%. The pictures will speak for themselves on this point. The only flaw I can find on the finish of the gun is a faint discoloration in the bluing in one small spot between two flutes on the cylinder. This area of discoloration is perhaps ¼ inch in diameter and is very minimal and difficult to see – so difficult to see that I could not get my camera to pick it up, otherwise I would have included a photo of it. I mention it here because I believe in honesty and full disclosure of any perceptible imperfections regardless of how minor they may seem - and this one is very minor. Other than this, the finish of the gun appears to be flawless to me. This gun comes with a 3-day inspection period so the buyer can fully examine it and be satisfied that the gun is in LNIB condition.
