RARE SMITH& WESSON MOD 27-1 MINT BOXED

Description:
This is a a superb example of a rare S&W Mod 27-1
chambered in .357 Magnum, 6.5 inch barrel, made in the early 1960s. The gun is virtually new, save for a light cylinder ring and a hint of  minuscule "box wear". It is complete with its original box, numbered to the gun with a label indicating that it was sold with Target grips and a Baughman front sight. 
it also comes with an original "clamshell" display case, a set of tools and an extra pair of magna diamond stocks, numbered to a different gun on the right grip. Interestingly, this set was exported to Europe and then came back to US probably after sitting on a shelf or in the drawer  for over 50 years. There is a barely visible, tiny "Simpson limited" import mark inside the yoke cut out in the frame.  
This is the most difficult variation of mod. 27 revolvers for a collector to acquire.
