This 38 W.C.F. (38-40) Colt Single Action Army was made in 1905. The 4.75"" barrel has an excellent bore with very light frosting. The barrel retains approx. 60% blue finish turning plum. It has roughness on the both sides and a small dent below the Colt address. All markings are standard and clear. The cylinder is mostly blue-brown with some roughness to the front. The frame shows traces of case colors turning mostly blue. The hammer is the early style with bordered checkering with the line below. The brown checkered hard rubber grips are very good with the rampant colt being clear on both sides, a small scratch on the upper left grip, and what appears to be WM scratched on the bottom of the left grip (also on the bottom grip strap). The action functions correctly,. This is a nice example of an early smokeless powder Colt Single Action Army.
