Colt Double Action Revolver Model of 1877
Description: Man oh Man! What a BEAUTIFUL .38 Colt Sheriff's Model of 1877. You will not find a better example for sell anywhere. There is an accompanying Colt Letter with an excellent story of the revolver being originally shipped out of the factory on October 30, 1883. The pistol was sent to Hartley & Graham in New York City. Hartley & Graham was a arms dealer and Colt dealer who was known for shipping arms out to the Wild West. In fact, they are recognized by The Buffalo Bill Historical Society in Cody Wy., as one of the major shippers of arms out west. This pistol was 1 of 30 in the October shipment. (Check it out.) This double action revolver is a .38 with a 2 1/2" barrel length. Comes with leather holster. Everything is mechanically sound and locks up tight. Excellent and outstanding pearl Grips are in perfect condition with no chips or scratches. The frame is case colored with strong colors. etchings on pistol are clearly visible and blue color, while worn is still visible. The serial # is stamped on the butstrap, triggerguard strap and bottom of the frame. The last three digits are on the back of the cylinder.
