Eastern Arms .38 S&W Top Break Revolver w/holster - excellent -
Description: From 1905-1915 Meriden Arms manufactured these revolvers for sale by Sears & Roebuck company who owned 25% of Meriden Arms in Connecticut. This particular example appears to have been purchased, loaded and perhaps test fired, and then put in a bureau drawer for over 100 years. It is in near mint condition and the flap leather holster is also one that was sold by Sears Roebuck as well as other companies during this time period. An interesting revolver but a common one back then. It must be remembered that from the late 1800's up until World War I most places in the USA were quite dangerous (kind of like it is getting to be now), and everyone - man, woman, and older child carried firearms for protection from criminals, dogs, or whatever. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: .38 S&W (.38 Colt New Police, .38 Super Police) |
