This is an extremely nice Webley Mark III in original nickel finish. Barrel length is 3". The top strap is marked P. Webley and Son, London & Birmingham. The side of the top strap is marked MARK "III" .38. The left side sideplate is marked MADE IN ENGLAND and has the W&S flaming bullet prooof mark. The right sideplate has the serial number and WEBLEY PATENTS. The serial number 23571 places the manufacture around 1920. The gun is in extremely nice condition with some dulling of the nickel on the grip frame. The grips are very good, no cracks or chips. The bore, chambers and mechanicals are all excellent. It appears to have been fired very little. On the left side barrel frame are two crowns, one marked BP, the other BV which are also on opposite sides of the cylinder. The cylinder number matches the serial number. Excellent example of a Webley.
