NSN, made in 1864, .58 caliber, 40"" round proofed barrel. Barrels rear sight has been removed, metal is a grey patina with spotted areas of darker oxidation visible. Pitting is noted at the nipple bolster and surrounding areas. Lock plate is marked with ""U-faint Eagle-S/AMOSKEAG Mfg. Co./MANCHESTER.N.H."". Stock is very good with light handling wear visible, left side does have a small surface crack noted in-between the screws. Action does hold at half and full cock with minimal play.
