SN: 777905. World War 2 era Australian contract revolver made by Smith and Wesson. Standard 5"" barrel with phosphate finish and .38 Special cylinder. Crown over 30/L and FTR/MA55 stamps indicate acceptance and later repair at the Lithgow Small Arms Factory. Frame is marked ""REBORED IN AUSTRALIA"" beneath the S&W seal, and the ""USA"" in ""Made in U.S.A."" has been punched out. However ""USA"" has also been marked upside-down above it. Good condition overall with some rust on the bottom of the crane, the ejector knurls, and in the punch marks. Typical handling and use marks. Bore is excellent. Action functions correctly.
