1940 Colt Official Police Revolver "Iceland Contract

Description:
Up for sale is is a truly unique Colt revolver sold to the Government of Iceland just before World War 2. Most of these revolvers were not even fired and put back in their boxes and shelved until they were imported back into the US several years ago. So these revolvers were sent back in nearly new condition. A couple superficial marks remain but other than that, this revolver looks nearly new. Comes with original cleaning rod and paperwork as well as the box with the serial number of a different revolver from that shipment. This was very common as they were not concerned with matching the revolvers with their boxes. I believe that all of these guns that were imported into the country are now in private collections and rarely come up for sale. If you have been looking for one of these, this may be the only chance you'll get.
