Colt Police Positive Special (Second Issue) .38 Spl. Cal., has a square butt and longer frame & cylinder to handle ,38 special ammo, denoted by 1926 last patent date on top of barrel, wood grips, checkered trigger, and serrated top strap; 5" barrel, serial # 460284 Mfg. 1938.  Made  of fine carbon steel, the Positive Special feature highly polished surfaces and royal blued finish.  Built on Colt's "D" frame.  The "Positive Lock" safety prevents the gun to fire unless the trigger is deliberately pulled, allowing the revolver to be safely carried with all chambers loaded.  The pistol's sights consist of a blade front and a fixed v-notch rear sight.  This 87 year old gun is in near mint condition.  It would be hard to improve on this one.
