The gun is equipped with the seldom seen period 8” H.M. Pope marked barrel, original blue finish, adjustable target sights and factory gold medallion mother of pearl service grips. Of the very few Pope barreled Smith & Wesson revolvers in existence this is by far the finest example we have offered for sale!
The gun remains in truly extraordinary condition, doubly so considering it is over 112 years old! The original bright blue finish is exceptional and rates 98%+ with just the tiniest bit of scattered aging which is mostly on the grip straps.
