Description: Here's one that's interesting. Ed McGivern Limited Edition Heritage Series manufactured by Smith & Wesson. It is new in box, and unfired.
The Smith & Wesson model 15–9, manufactured in 2002 was a Limited run Lew Horton Heritage Series McGivern Models from the S&W Performance Center. 3 Models commemorating Ed McGivern's world speed records in 1934 with a revolver. All models have a Patridge front sight with Gold Bead, round butt frame with Altamount Fancy checkered service grips of that era, 6” barrel, Ed McGivern commemorative plate mounted on right side of frame, Heritage Series box.
Lew Horton commissioned the Performance Center to do a tribute to Ed McGivern. The Heritage Series Model 15 came into being. These were offered in Blue, Nickel and Color Case Hardened. 150 of each were produced.

A commemorative plaque details McGivern's records of 5 shots in 2/5 of a second and 5 shots in 9/20 of a second at the Armory in Lewiston, MT. This revolver, serial number BBS0011, is part of a strictly limited run to commemorate Ed McGivern’s 1934 World Record-Breaking shooting in 1934. Appropriately, this special edition revolver has the McGivern metallic bead sights. This revolver is bright blue, round butt with patterned, checkered magna walnut grips, in its period-correct gold-toned hinged-edge paper box with paperwork.
