Description:
Standard configuration S&W Victory Revolver, 4 inch barrel, having a half moon front sight and grooved rear sight. Left side of barrel marked "SMITH & WESSON" while the top is marked with the two line manufacturer address and patent dates. Top strap marked “U.S. NAVY”. Right side of barrel marked "38 S. & W. Special CTG". Sideplate with the usual S&W logo while the frame is marked "MADE IN USA". Full serial number on butt bracketing rotatable lanyard ring, repeated on rear of cylinder and under barrel. Matching assembly numbers (32294) on frame and crane. Color case hardened trigger and hammer. Smooth walnut grips. Limited disassembly shows the right grip with a stamped matching number.
Condition:
Near EXC with sharp edge wear as one might expect from a holstered revolver that has seen minimal use. Mirror bright bore. All cylinders index properly. A very attractive, all original, and all matching S&W Victory revolver, made for U.S. NAVY, well suited to any WWII martial collector!
