The Taurus Model 85 was a popular, compact, five-shot revolver chambered in .38 Special, widely used for concealed carry and personal defense. Produced from 1980 to 2017, it has since been replaced by the updated six-shot Taurus 856. Shoots five rounds of .38 Special, with most versions capable of handling higher-pressure \"+P\" ammunition.
