.45 Colt single action army
Description:
On the block today is an interesting .45 Colt revolver. Its engraving, which is signed by the engraver, indicates the revolver is in celebration of 100 years of ranching in Texas. The gun is silver plated and has a 7 1/2 inch barrel. The grips are well aged ivory and the production date is 1978. Even though the weapon has been fired it remains in excellent condition with a mint bore and very few handling marks as evidenced by the photographs. The action locks up tight and the trigger release is right at 1.5 pounds with no creep. The cylinder to bore line up is perfect in all chambers and when the hammer is in the cocked position the cylinder has minimal to no movement.
The silver plating has not flaked antwhere on the gun. It does show slight tarnishing in exposed areas which would be natural for a pistol that is over 40 years old. The gun certainly has a Texas ring to it and would make an interesting shooter or a collecting piece in anyones collection of single action revolvers. Thanks for taking a look.
