Smith & Wesson 657 Mountain Gun

Description:
Smith & Wesson 657-4 Mountain Gun chambered in .41 Magnum with a Tapered Lightweight 4” barrel. Based on the information available from the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Edition, the gun was manufactured in the year 2000. This pre-lock N Frame Square Butt revolver features a 6 shot fluted cylinder, adjustable micrometer rear sights and case hardened trigger and hammer. This hard to find revolver comes with the beautiful Culina Exhibition Grade Gaboon Ebony Combat Grips as shown in the photos. Mechanically, the action is crisp, the lock up is tight, and the bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. Cosmetically this fine revolver rates a conservative 98% for its’ near perfect condition.  This is a very nice example of a difficult to find S&W revolver. The original factory serial numbered box, original factory rubber grips and all original literature including the owner’s manual and warranty card are included. 
Please Note: The barrel length on the factory serial numbered box is listed as 4 ¼”, however when measured the actual barrel length is 4”.
