The Triple Lock Smith and Wesson revolver is one of the most desirable guns made by the firm. This example has the rare 5" barrel and is in factory nickel finish with smooth ivory grips. The gun has seen use and is in no means a mint revolver but it is still in very fine collectable condition retaining at least 80-90% of the original factory finish with most wear visible on the outside of cylinder. Hammer and trigger have most of their case hardened finish and the smooth Ivory grips are lovely. Action locks up as tight as new and the bore is mirror bright. Serial #2047 was mfg in 1908, the first year of production. This was Smiths first side swing cylinder in the .44 HE series of guns. A great gun from first year of production in super caliber and desirable barrel length. C&R fine.
