Follow our listings to see more items from this amazing collection!*** Manufacturer: Smith and Wesson Model: .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model Target Action: DA/SA Revolver Caliber: .44 Special Serial: 49327 Barrel: 6.5 inches Finish: Blue Stock/Grips: Diamond Checkered Walnut with Emblems This is a VERY NICE, RARE, and ALL MATCHING Smith and Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 2nd Model Target. It is a 6-round double and single action N-Frame revolver with a square-butt and 5-screws. It is chambered in .44 Special, has a 6.5 inch pinned barrel, and a bore that is in excellent condition. Based on the Smith and Wesson Catalog 3rd Edition, this revolver was made in 1937. This is the very rare target version of this model. The blue finish is in SPECTACULAR condition on this revolver. The underlug flat, rear of cylinder, butt of the frame, the underside of the grips all have the matching serial number “49327”. The timing and lock up are perfect based on visual inspection. It has a fluted cylinder, an unshrouded ejector rod, checkered cylinder release, a checkered hammer, and a serrated trigger. The trigger and hammer have a color case finish. The yoke cut and yoke are marked “3373”. The top of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. U.S.A. PATTENTED DEC. 17.1901. FEB. 6. 1906.SEP.14. 1909”. The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The left side of the frame has the small S&W emblem. The right side of the frame is marked “MADE IN U.S.A.”. The right side of the barrel is marked “44 S. & W. SPECIAL CTG”. It has a Patridge blade front sight blade that is on a raised pinned boss. The rear sight is a square-notch adjustable and is rounded and countored to the top strap. It has 2-piece diamond checkered walnut grips with S&W emblems. The grips are overall in good condition. The top of the left grip does have a small crack which doesn't impact the functionality of the revolver. The right grip is in great shape and has no cracks.The front strap and back strap are serrated. A factory box from S&W is included and a test fired target that is dated 1939. The box itself is not marked with the serial number. This revolver qualifies as a Curio and Relic and can ship where legally allowed. This RARE vintage revolver would make a great addition to any firearms collection. Check out the pictures and you will see this is a great find!
