Phenomenal Colt 1917 Commercial revolver, assembled circa 1932-1933 from leftover WWI military parts, complete with an original USMC military holster. Impossible to upgrade this revolver!

Stunning, standard configuration Colt Model 1917 Commercial revolver, SN: 336037, approximately one thousand assembled after WWI, made 1932-1933, from left-over military parts. Shark fin front sight over 5.5" barrel and notched rear sight. Top of barrel marked with the two-line Colt address including a series of patent dates, the last referencing October 5, 1926. The left side of the barrel marked "Colt Model 1917 .45 Auto Ctge". Sideplate marked with the un-circled Rampant Colt. Full serial number on inner frame and crane. Six-shot military cylinder, front face with few inspection marks, recessed at rear for use of half-moon clips, unshrouded ejector rod. Unnumbered checkered wooden grips with silvered Colt medallions. Sold with an original World War I USMC marked military holster.
Condition:
Beautiful 99+% original pre-war brushed blue with well delineated feathering on either side of the front sight, the verified proof on the left side of the frame breaking through the factory finish. Cylinder ring does not break through the blue nor are there any cartridge head imprints on the recoil shield. Polished sides of hammer without any oxidative changes. No thinning on grip straps though the back strap has a few very fine oxidative freckles. Comparable condition grips with oil darkening on each panel principally at their upper portions. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG holster with intact stitching and bottom plug, scattered scuffs and crazing, particularly with respect to the retaining strap around the brass securing stud.
