The only information that I have about this is from the previous owner...He stated that he hung out at local gun shop(he is recalling what happened about 40 years ago) and the shop had a very good gunsmith(could not remember his name) and he also did rebluing. You will be able to tell from the pics that this gunsmith did excellent work.. This is a Custom Smith & Wesson M1917 x 5 Screw Cut Down Snubby .45 ACP...Custon Barrel (from the original barrel) approx 3-1/8" long...Ramped dovetail front sight...Polished and reblued with smooth deep blue finish...Good sharp rifeling in the barrel but a little dark. It comes with Sile White faux Pearl grips with screw, Pachmeyer rubber grips with screw, original 1917 walnut grips(just not sure if they are original to the gun) with screw(it is not original) and 10 moon clips. This handgun is in excellent condition for it's 100+ year age. There is no rust, dings or deep scratches, just some very minor handling marks. A C&R is not posssible since it has been mocified.
I am a private seller and will be shipped from my FFL to your FFL...will not ship where not legal, so know the laws in your state/local community before .
