1sr Gen., 5.5 inch, .45 Colt , D.W. Harris engraved, Silver Plated, Archives letter.
Description: 1907 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 297169. 5 - 1/2" round barrel in .45 Colt with single line barrel address, blade front sight, and V-frame notch rear. Engraved with scroll on a punchdot background and starburst motifs on left and right side of gas shield as well as stop of backstrap by Texas Gun Engraver D.W. Harris. Signed on butt by Harris. Silver-plated finish, with patina. 2-piece checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt in an oval on either side. Comes with a factory letter confirming serial number, caliber, and barrel length and shows shipment to Montgomery Ward & Company in Chicago, Illinois July 31, 1907 in a shipment of 2 guns. Gun locks u tight with 4 click action . David's Wade Harris does amazing work, he was trained by the master Mr. Weldon Bledsoe. Add 3% if paying with credit card.
