Rare and highly collectible Colt Single Action Army John Wayne Commemorative revolver manufactured in 1982 and chambered in .45 Long Colt. Only 3,100 of these commemorative revolvers were produced, making this an increasingly difficult Colt collector piece to locate in complete presentation form.
This example features beautiful factory engraving and gold accent work throughout, including John Wayne themed embellishments, portrait cylinder artwork, and facsimile signature engraving along the backstrap. The revolver is fitted with striking faux ivory-style grips that pair exceptionally well with the deep blued finish and gold decorative accents.
Included is the original wooden presentation/display case featuring John Wayne signature artwork on the lid along with its rich red suede-lined interior, original decorative key, and accompanying commemorative paperwork/card.

This revolver has clearly been carefully preserved over the years. Cylinder rotation and handling appear extremely minimal in an effort to maintain collector presentation quality. Lock-up and action remain excellent.
Bluing retains a rich appearance throughout with beautiful contrast against the gold embellishments and ivory-style grips. Presentation case remains in very good condition and displays exceptionally well alongside the revolver.
