Description:
Colt Model DA 45 1909 Manufactured in 1911. These double acction Colts were chambered in 45 Colt. This one has a 5-1/2" barrel. Barrel is in relativly good condioin with strong rifling and reflective surfacees The exterior has basicaly all bluing removed. The butt of the gun reads US army model 1909 SN 43279. Looking up this seral number on the colt reveals it was manufactured in 1911. Under the barrel it is stamped "US PROPERTY" indicating it had time in service. Left hand grip has a thumb rest. Functionally the cylender is loose but when it is in battery with the trigger pulled back the cylender is very nice and tight amd in proper condition.
