Description:
I have been told this is :Colt .38 super frame and a WW2 Remington slide. An original Colt .45 frame with a five digit number would be too early for this type of frame (it's an A-1 frame) but the .38 super frame with a five digit number would be a 1930s frame.

This is a piece of classic american gun history, but while not a US Military piece, it still has significance in the time it was produced. 

Pros:

- Great project gun or to part out
- Originals Low serial, no scratching off or buffing out marks
- A solid gun and has been to the range before in last 5 years.
- No cracks, damange or rust 
- Comes in neat wooden display box

Cons:

- Some non matching parts from a collecting perspective
- Not stamped for US ordance 
- No parkenizing apparent, I cannot tell if it was refinished
