Webley Mark VI Revolver in 455

This is a nice British Webley Mark VI revolver still in 455 Webley. Cylinder unmolested and not shaved for 45 ACP as so many are!
The revolver is dated 1915 and the barrel, cylinder and frame are all matching. The revolver was sold out-of-service after World War One and therefore bears commercial London proofs in addition to the original military proofs. However this example was likely reacquired for military service during the Second World War as it shows official government cancellation marks stamped over the out-of-service oopsing Broad Arrows. The gun is otherwise not import-marked, which is another desirable feature.
Revolver was arsenal-refinished and retains about 92% rust blue showing some mild toning to gray along the gripstraps and some scattered light dings, one ding along the left edge of triggerguard a bit more moderate but small. Markings mostly strong, a little softened on frame. The hammer and screw heads retain good blackened finish and the recoil plate shows strong straw color. Bore is very fine with some light oxidation or frosting in the grooves and crisp rifling, barrel-to-frame fit solid and the action functions well. The original black checkered hard rubber grips are marked "S" for size small (sizes were introduced during the interwar perios) and they are in almost perfect condition.
