Description:
This is a Gold Rush Era 49’er” 6 shot 36 caliber Dragoon D.A. Pepperbox pistol. The hammer is marked Allen’s Patent and this is serial number 195. The barrel is marked Allen & Thurber Worcester, Patented 1837. This is Flayderman’s number 5A-050 Standard Worcester Production with wide barrel ribs. This one is in very good plus condition with engraved side plates and nipple shield. This is 6” barrels and could have been carried by a 49’er” or in the Civil War. These were popular with both gold miners and Civil War soldiers.
