Antique Harkom Edinburgh Pepper Box

Another great item from Gainesville Pawn! Up for sale is a Antique Pepperbox. This one is made by Joseph Harkom in Edinburgh Scotland sometime before the turn of the century. This gun is in unbelievable shape considering its age. It has an engraved brass or bronze frame, six barrel blued cylinder with proof mark and Walnut grips. Please see attached photos.

Joseph Harkom made a very limited number of guns and was considered to be one of the finest Scottish gunmakers. He made around 2000 guns total. His guns were extremely durable, meticulously crafted and, often, boasted features ahead of his time. This particular gun has bores that are tapered from forcing cones to muzzle and patterns incredibly well. Most of the guns he made are Double barrel shotguns.
