CIVIL WAR Era UNION ARMS Co. Antique W.W. MARSTON .32 Percussion PEPPERBOX
ENGRAVED Bar Hammer .32 Caliber SELF DEFENSE Gun
Description: CIVIL WAR Era UNION ARMS Co. Antique W.W. MARSTON .32 Percussion PEPPERBOX ENGRAVED Bar Hammer .32 Caliber SELF DEFENSE Gun Here we present an antique Civil War Era Union Arms Company .32 Caliber Bar Hammer Double Action Percussion Pepperbox, manufactured by W. W. Marston circa the 1850s in New York City, New York. Marston marked their pepperboxes often without the Marston name and instead used the names Washington Arms, Union Arms, and Phenix Armory. Many of these were produced, and shy of the serial number, with no markings whatsoever on the revolver. This was done so retailers or other vendors could mark them as they saw fit. Finding these Marston Pepperboxes is hard to do, as many were used hard on their way to the gold fields of California. One can almost imagine seeing gamblers sporting one of these as they were paddle wheeling down the Mississippi River. The history that these pistols enjoyed over the years is astounding: the Seminole Wars, Gold Rush, Mexican War and American Civil War. These guns are true relics of American history. This example has a fluted six-barrel cluster, with the bar hammer marked “THE UNION/ ARMS CO.”. It has an engraved frame and nipple guard, with smooth trigger and a pair of smooth bag shaped grips. The overall condition is good. Original finish and patina. The action of the hammer and trigger are strong but the barrels index only intermittently. The bar hammer has an old stable crack in it. The grips are solid. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-1/2 inches. Caliber: .32 Percussion Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1400 #254078 SOLD Antique: Yes |
