1850s RING TRIGGER 6-Shot UNDERHAMMER Pistol

Here we present an antique Engraved J.R. Cooper’s Patent British Pepperbox Revolver, made circa the 1850s in Great Britain. Joseph Rock Cooper worked as a gunmaker between 1836 to 1863 in Birmingham, England. He is known for his many design improvements of rifle and pistols, but best known for his pepperbox pistol. This would have been a great compact, self-defense repeater when many were still carrying various types of single shot pistols!

The overall condition is very good. Some original blue finish remains with a patina throughout. The action is excellent. The bores are smooth and in good condition. Grips show use and remain solid. Birmingham proofs throughout.
