Very Rare Pecare & Smith Iron Frame 10 Shot Pepperbox Serial Number 8

Description:
The serial number "8" is stamped on the left side of the trigger and on the barrel sheath next to the trogger.
We believe the very early pisols were finished bright as this one appears to be.. We have seen 1 other single digit gun finished bright.
The action is functional.
These guns were made in the late 1840s and early 1850s.
The iron frame guns are much rarer than the brass frame.
