Antique Forehand & Wadsworth “Terror" 32 RF Spur Trigger Revolver
Description: Serial #538, .32 Rim Fire, 3 inch octagonal barrel with a very fine, dark bore with strong rifling and some light roughness and pitting. This is the “TERROR" marked model single action, center hammer revolver manufactured by Forehand & Wadsworth in the 1870's. The metal surfaces of this revolver retain about 95% original nickel finish showing some spots of light flaking to gray-brown, minor oxidation and handling marks. The hammer is a smoky case-hardened patina and all markings remain crisp. The base pin is an old period replacement, and the spring-loaded retaining pin is not present. The very good condition hardwood grips are numbered “13", with the cylinder serial number matching the revolver. The action seems to function well mechanically with good timing and lock-up.
