SMITH & WESSON .44 Double Action, Top-Break Revolver
Description: Smith & Wesson Antique, Manufactured prior to 1899, .44 Caliber, Double Action, Revolver. Serial Number is #9104 . Has 5" barrel. Has very good bore showing some fine pitting. Has the 1-9/16" cylinder. It takes the .44-40 Winchester cartridge as well as the shorter . 44 Russian cartridge. Metal surfaces have about 20% factory blue remaining with most on left side of frame and in the flutes of the cylinder in addition to traces in the protected corners. The remaining surfaces are mostly pewter with other areas blending to a mottled mix of blue and pewter. The trigger retains strong case-hardened colors with the face worn to pewter and hammer has toned straw. The diamond checkered hard rubber grips with the "S&W" logo rate very good to excellent with light dents and scratches. All appropriate parts are correctly numbered to the gun. The grips have a four-digit number that appears to be correct. Barrel to frame fit is tight and gun still functions mechanically. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
