Description:
Rare- Webleys No 4 Pryse pattern revolver, antique double action cartridge firing top break revolver chambered for .476 Eley. Developed in 1877, it predates the Webley Mark series service revolvers. Mainly purchased by officers of the British army, it saw use in conflicts such as the Zulu Wars & the First Boer War. A true piece of British history.
This gun is in excellent mechanical condition, with strong main spring, extraction & internal lock work. It features dual locking side latches & has a tight lock up. Bore is surprisingly clean with sharp rifling lines. Grips are also in good condition with no major crack or loss & a lanyard ring attached at the base of grip. Finish is a worn nickel that has turned to mostly nice even patina. Left side of receiver marks Webleys No.4 476 CF & under it the Flying Bullet.
Overall a very tight actioned revolver for how old it is. Comes with period reproduction holster.
