Allen & Wheelock Center Hammer 36 Caliber Navy
Description:
This is a 6 shot 36 caliber Navy revolver made in 1862. This is serial number 151 and is matching numbers and only about 500 made. It is numbered on the back of the grips, on the frame grip, bottom side of the barrel. The barrel retains 35% blue and nice traces on the frame. The solders during the Civil War knew the quickest reload was another revolver. Possible private purchase during the Civil War.
