Early 2nd Model English LeMat by Girard. 2nd Model LeMat made approximately in 1863. These are very interesting guns and the general consensus is the early models (serial sub 100) were made in France, finished in the white and shipped to London for assembly and finishing. These were then sold to the Confederate Navy. This gun is all matching. The barrel has over 80% of the original blue. Cylinder has 60% of the blue. Grips are excellent. The frame has turned mostly brown. Action works perfectly and locks up tight. Very fine example of a legendary Confederate LeMat revolver!
