Springfield Arms Co produced about 350 of these in 1851. The double trigger system works by pulling the front trigger which turns the cylinder until it hits the rear trigger which fires the weapon. 2 1/2" round barrel. The barrel and cylinder retain over 90% of thier original blue. The frame retains traces of silver plating. The walnut grips retain most of thier original finish. A very rare and hard to find little gun. If and when you ever do come across one of these little pocket pistols, they are never this nice. Just a wonderful 165 years old American Made gamblers gun from the antebellum era before the Civil War and the era of the Riverboat gamblers.
