.38 RF Hood Firearms spur trigger revolver
Description: Hood Firearms Company, located in New York, produced a variety of very good quality pocket pistols, with a variety of interesting and colorful trade names, including Brutus, Czar, Hard Pan, Little John, Marquis of Lorne, Tramps Terror, and Wide Awake. This is the type of gun that ladies of the evening would carry to discourage unruly patrons in the 1880s. Or would serve equally as well as a vest pocket gun for a gambling gent in Old number 10. This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first. Adult signature required upon delivery. This example is a .38 Rimfire caliber five shot revolver with a 2 1/2 inch barrel, birdhead walnut grips and a bright 90% nickel finish. Very tight lock up and functions as it should. The hammer spur at one time was broken off, but has been expertly welted back on, but it is hardly noticeable. Someone tried to polish off the name on the top of the barrel so it could be passed off as a COLT New Line which is more expensive and highly collectable. That said it displays very well. PAYMENT Cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks. May order at riverjucntion on-line with credit card. SOLD |
