Late-19th Century Revolver in .32 Rimfire
Here we present an antique Forehand & Wadsworth Top Break Double Action Revolver. This revolver was manufactured in the late-19th century in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was made by the sons-in-law of Ethan Allen, the successful firearms inventor and manufacturer from the 1830s. It would have made a convenient sidearm.
The left side of the barrel is marked “PAT’D JUNE 27’71-OCT.29’73”. The top of the frame is marked “FOREHAND & WADSWORTH/DOUBLE ACTION NO.32/WORCESTER.MASS”.
The overall condition is good. 90% of the nickel finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. The walnut grips are in great shape. The bore is dark with visible rifling. The action on this revolver is intermittent. The cylinder arbor pin is a handmade replacement.
