Antique FOREHAND & WADSWORTH “Number 41” Revolver 5-Shot .41 Rimfire Double Action Revolver!
Description: Antique FOREHAND & WADSWORTH “Number 41” Revolver 5-Shot .41 Rimfire Double Action Revolver! Here we present an antique Forehand & Wadsworth No. 41 Double Action Revolver in .41 Rimfire, made circa the 1870s in Worcester, Massachusetts. In 1871, Sullivan Forehand and Henry C. Wadsworth founded Forehand & Wadsworth from the remnants of Ethan Allen & Company after the death of their father-in-law, successful firearms inventor and manufacturer from the 1830s, Ethan Allen. Wadsworth sold his share of the company to Forehand in 1890 in order to retire, and the company was rebranded as Forehand Arms. This revolver was manufactured in the late-19th century in Worcester, Massachusetts. It would have made a great self defense sidearm. This revolver has a great aesthetic and looks and feels like a quality gun through and through. The top of the barrel is marked “PAT’D JUNE 27’71-OCT.28’73”. The top of the frame is marked “FOREHAND & WADSWORTH/DOUBLE ACTION NO.41/WORCESTER.MASS”. The overall condition is very fine. 96% of the original nickel finish remains. The markings are clear. The rosewood grips are in fine shape. The bore is clean with nice rifling. The action is excellent in both double and single action, strong and smooth. Here is a distinctive revolver that would have competed against the likes of the Colt House and Remington Smoot in the 1870s! Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction. Barrel is 2-3/8 inches. Caliber: .41 Rimfire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE. Delivered directly to your door by express mail! Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $885 #190598 SOLD Antique: Yes |
