ANTIQUE Hopkins & Allen “Blue Jacket No 1 ,  spur trigger ,  .22 RF ,Single Action Revolver. Serial #1845. Manufactured from the 1870’s  Revolvers of this type were widely sold as affordable personal-protection arms during the period when American catalog retailers supplied rural customers with firearms through mail-order sales. Today, Forehand Arms Co. revolvers represent an interesting example of the late-Victorian era American firearms trade and the widespread distribution of inexpensive revolvers through catalog houses and hardware merchants across the country.

Nickel finish. —  unfluted  7 shot cylinder —  2 ¼” round barrel , spur trigger.
Made for Black Powder Low pressure Cartridges only

Condition:  very nice slightly oxidized bore showing very strong rifling. Metal finish is in very good condition retain about 80% of the original nickel plate with just a few minor scratches and wear marks.  Original beautiful walnut grips rate about excellent condition with just minor wear and handling marks. All matching numbers on the frame , barrel , cylinder.  Barrel markings are all clear and legible.  Mechanically holds in half and full-cock position. Cylinder turns but the ratchet is worn and has a couple flat spots and will not rotate on one or two cylinders.  May just need to be filed down.  Timing and lock-up appear ok     The current condition of the item listed has been described to the best of my ability . Please examine the photos and text thoroughly for description and condition.
