Spur trigger with bird’s head. Nickel finish, Round barrel , unfluted cylinder,  Hard rubber Grips. Push button cylinder pin release. SN: 4327

This particular model was produced in the late 1870’s, as indicated by its serial number. It is a very rare early produced model that was produced in .32 rim fire.
Condition:  3 ” .32 RF Round barrel with a partially bright good bore showing areas of light oxidation and mild pitting from black powder use. The metal of the revolver still retains most of its original nickel finish with some minor scratches and handling marks.  Very well preserved for 150 years .  The original Black hard rubber gris have turned to a nice brown patina and are in very good condition. The top-strap markings “ CONTINENTAL” remain crisp and legible. The action of the revolver functions mechanically. The cylinder push button retaining screw is missing and the cylinder retaining rod is a replacement.

 Overall, this Hopkins & Allen Spur trigger revolver is a good example of a rare and historically significant firearm from the late 19th century.
