Copy of the Colt 1877 Lightning "Storekeeper" RJT#6677

Description:
This revolver was manufactured in Spain by an unknown maker and is a copy of the Colt 1877 Lightning, and marketed in the US in the late 19th century. Mechanically it stands up better than the Lightning. It is a 6 shot Single Action and Double Action with a 2 1/2 inch Barrel. The finish shows almost no original blue, but is smooth with no pitting. The original bone grips are intact with a repaired chip on the left grip but no cracks. The bore has some black powder frost with strong rifling. It is mechanically perfect and lock up is tight. Chambered for the .38 Long Colt Cartridge. It will also fire the .38 Short Colt cartridge. There are some manufacturers of Cowboy Action Shooting ammunition that produce both the .38 Long and Short cartridges. The left side of the barrel is marked "MADE IN SPAIN." and marked on the barrel CAL .38, with a few proof marks here and there. It has the look of a small "Storekeeper" Colt SAA. Other  items pictured are not included.
