A very nice example of a factory Engraved Merwin Hulbert Open Top with Original Birdshead Ivory Grips. In .44-40 Caliber, marked "Calibre Winchester 1873" . Very early 3 digit serial number. Merwins open and close twist extraction system works fine.
This Merwin & Hulbert 1st MODEL "POCKET ARMY" is marked with the one-line address followed by numerous patent dates marked on top of the barrel...The engraving remains clear and sharp. An fine Old West Holster Revolver.
