Description: SOLD 4/21/22 Introduced in 1878. .44 Russian caliber, with a 6 1/2 inch ribbed barrel. The barrel is marked with the two-line Springfield address and patent dates with the "REISSUE JULY 25. 1871" marking at the end of the standard patent date listing.
Serial number 14294 has all matching numbers are on the butt, cylinder, barrel, and barrel latch.
Early type longer ejector housing, with the tooth extractor cam. This revolver also has the Russian Model style spur finger guard, available on special order, with great looking Ivory grips.
Serial #14294 features blade front and notched rear sights. Six shot fluted cylinder with the automatic ejector. Fine condition, retaining 75% Original Nickle finish, some high edge wear and some thinning to mottled gray patina. Mechanically excellent. Pre 1898 - Antique
